The rule №1: forget that you make yourself

The rule №2: you do not smoke for yourself
It is necessary to admit that every person loves himself/herself above all. Just do not make a show of your feelings and splutter, claiming that you are an altruist. No, first you are selfish person, and then everything else. That is why the message “quit for the sake of someone” is doomed to failure. Alas, even if that someone is your own child. For comparison, try to answer honestly, are you ready to quit for a new job (no wonder many have hidden in the office toilets for years)? For the sake of your husband (and I know dozens of families where the husband does not smoke, and because of this there are constant family scandals)? For the sake of your mother (which conflicts occur when you are caught by parents at the crime scene, is it necessary to remind ?)… The correct answer is no, no and no. So why does society require us to change quickly for the sake of the man whom we are, in fact, do not know? Understand that your action is only for your own use (re-read list of item number 1). And now, it is appropriate time for this. Why not now?
The rule №3: I do not smoke – here and now
You should not appoint a “quit date”: After Monday, The New Year, after your mother’s birthday … This way you only begs a delay, eventually turning it into a permanent one. Just do not smoke and all.
The rule №4: No rituals.
Dramatic scenes of quitting the habit, pathos lacerations and a broken cigarette packs – all of these theatrical effects leave to provincial actresses. The real strong-willed characters do not smoke, having a whole pack at home. But such actions usually lead to the fact that you are hurrying into the nearest stall for a new piece of habit.

For example, it is the best time to stay in father-in-law a little longer – for a month or two. First, you will be tasty to feed and care, and secondly, you just will not have a chance to break. Or think of a reason to go to the hospital to preservation.
The rule №7: it is the most important. It is easier not to smoke, than to smoke!
That’s it – no smoking is easy! There’s nothing complicated. Absolutely nothing. It is scary just to begin. Console yourself with the fact that in a month you do not even think of its current torments. And yet every damn time you want to smoke, say: “Yes, I do not smoke, and it is – nonsense! It’s easy!” By the way, you will rise in other’s estimation when they see the ease with which you dealt with the monster, which they are afraid of: the fear of quitting.
The rule №8: Do not hesitate to learn from this other benefits

P.S. Many people after reading this article may seem that the author smoked not seriously, as she talks easily about it. I have to disappoint the skeptics: smoking history at the time of pregnancy was 10 years. One and a half packs a day. I smoked with sore throat, and with migraine, and after sex, and instead it.
